アロハ！ハワイも雨季がすっかりあけ、日差しが強くなってきましたね。日中はジリジリと暑いくらいです。日本では春の紫外線が一番強いとも言われて、サンスクリーン必須の季節です

◉UV-A：長い波長でお肌の奥＝真皮に影響。シワ・たるみ（光老化）の原因に
◉UV-B 短い波長でお肌の表面＝表皮に影響。シミ・そばかすの原因に

◉SPF：Sun Protection Factor の略で、UV-Bに対する防止効果を示すもの。SPF2から50、さらに50以上のものは50＋と表示
◉PA：Protection Grade of UVA の略で、こちらはUV-Aに対する防止効果を示す。PA＋からPA＋＋＋＋の4段階

数値が高ければ高いほど、紫外線防止効果は高いですが、お肌に負担がかかることもあります。肌質や生活シーンに合わせて日焼け止めを選ばれることをおススメします。私個人的には日常生活はSPF20、ゴルフやビーチに行く時はSPF50＋と使い分けています。つまり日焼け止め選びにはTPOを考えることが大切。どれを使ったらいいか迷ってしまう方は、お気軽にご相談下さいませ！

Question 1 – Did you have any anxiety before the treatment? How was the degree of pain?

A few years ago I realized my brown spots on my cheek had been getting darker and darker. I decided to have Photofacial treatment according to my wife. (I actually didn’t care so much.) As it was my first experience, I didn’t know if it was painful or not. I was just like a carp on the cutting board rather than being anxious. Honestly, it was more painful than I expected, especially under the nose. I was told that IPL reacted to dark color such as brown spots or beard and it caused pain. I had the second treatment on the other day, but I felt less pain than the first time. Maybe I got used it.

Question 2. How was your satisfaction and the effectiveness of treatment?

I was surprised to see my face became very dark after the treatment. As time goes by, I noticed my brown spots became lighter and the skin became smoother. Also I received some complements from my friends. As I started using face moisturizing lotion and sunscreen every day, my wife is very happy.

施術はお肌の深い所に1周, 浅い所に2周と顔全体を細かくかなり丁寧に打ってもらいました. 実際には顔全体に反応があり, 自分では気付いていなかった箇所 (鼻の横や顎先など）にも沢山反応が出て, 沢山シミやシミ予備軍があったことが良くわかりました. 数日後かさぶたの様な黒い反応が出ますが, レーザー治療時よりも厚さはかなり薄いので, 剥がしたくなったりお化粧がし難いといったこともないです. 黒い粒々が消えた後に元々あったシミが濃くなることはなく, ちゃんと薄くなりました. 後, 数回の施術でどこまで消えるか楽しみです.

質問3. トリートメント後の経過を教えて下さい. *
施術当日には顔全体に黒い粒々と少し赤みがありました. 赤みは‪翌朝‬にはなくなりました. 黒い粒々は3日目が一番濃くでて, 1週間から10日程で消えました. それと同時に, 肌触りがツルツルに, お化粧ノリも抜群に良くなって, シミの治療なのに, 毛穴がキュッとお肌が引き締まってキレイになる, かなり嬉しいおまけ付きでした.

Question 2. How was your satisfaction and the effectiveness of treatment?
*
A handheld device delivering pulsed of broad spectrum light was passed across the whole face with one round on deep layers of skin and two round on epidermis. My whole face had a reaction and I realized I had many brown spots underneath which I didn’t notice (especially beside the nose or chin). After a few days I got a black scabs, but they were much thinner than the scabs from the laser treatment. I didn’t have any problems with daily make-up. After the black scabs disappeared, my brown spot became lighter instead getting darker. I am looking forward to seeing how much my spots fade away after few treatments.

Question 3. Please tell me the progress after the treatment?
*
On the day of the treatment, I saw some black spots and redness on the entire face. Next morning the redness disappeared. The black spots were darkest on the third day and disappeared in about a week to ten days. At the same time, my skin became smooth and easy to make up. Even though this treatment was good for spots, the pores became tighter to make skin more healthy and beautiful.

As usually I am patient with most of pain, I was not so much anxious. I didn’t feel any serious pain actually. I think the feeling of pain varies from person to person. Since my aesthetician asked how I felt each time, I was very comfortable through treatment.

10 years ago I had photofacials several times in Japan, but at that time I didn’t have any good result on my brown spots. Because of that, I was worried that I might have same result again. Also, the brown spots became darker after leather treatment 8 months ago and it made me more worried.

Here is the procedure of IPL Photofacial.

1. Apply one path of light irradiation on Dermis (80-100 shots)
2. Apply two paths of light irradiation on Epidermis (160-200 shots)
3. Soothe your skin with a mask
4. Finish with serum and sunscreen

By irradiating both Dermis and Epidermis, higher effects can be expected. As there is no downtime, you can make up right after the treatment. Please bring those who need it.

Many people ask if the treatment gives pain. Each person feels differently, but I cannot say there is no pain. It feels like that somebody snap rubber band. Pain level would be 3-4 degree out of 10, I say. Most of people are more surprised by the flash when illuminated than pain from treatment.
* Anyway, the machine has the latest internal cooling system and irradiates IPL with cooling the epidermis at around 5 degrees during treatment. Modem cooling system ensures comfortable treatments.

こちらが私自身が体験したIPLフォトフェイシャルトリートメントのビフォー＆アフターです。
メインターゲットは気になっていた右頬の薄いシミ.

Beforeの写真は施術直前にトリートメントルームで撮影したもので、オレンジライト下だった為、他の写真よりオレンジがかっています。）

[ビフォー]

頬上部にうっすらとシミあり.
*
[2日後]
*
シミが濃く浮かび上がってきて期待感大. シミと認識してなかった部分も黒くなっている. しかし4歳の息子に [マミー, お顔どうしたの? 汚いねぇ... ] と言われる.

[6日後]
*
一番濃かった部分が剥がれ落ちて, かなりキレイになってきた. よく見ると小さく黒い点々がまだまだたくさん残っている.

[10日後]
*
完全に黒く浮かび上がった部分が剥がれ落ち, ワントーン明るくなった. 化粧ノリもいいし毛穴も引き締まった感じがする. 友人にもお肌を褒められる. よく見るとお肌の奥から未来のシミ候補が浮かび上がってきている. (写真では分かりにくいです)

個人差はありますが, 4-6週間ごとに一度のリートメントを3-5回, 集中的に受けることがオススメです.

〔Before〕
I had brownish discoloration on the upper cheek.

〔2 days later〕
When I saw the hidden brown spots emerged out and turned black, my expectation was running high. However, my 4 years old son said, “Mummy, what’s wrong with your face? It’s dirty ………”

〔6 days later〕
The darkest spot peeled off and turned clean. If you look closely, there are still many small black spots.

〔10 days later〕
After brown spots which emerged completely black peeled off, my complexion was enhanced. Applying makeup became easier and the pores were tightened. I received compliments from my friends. If you check closely, you might see the potential spots coming out. (It’s hard to see in the picture though)

I recommend that you should have a treatment every four to six weeks intensively, total 3 – 5 times.
